About

The Hull School of Art and Design was founded in 1861 and is regarded nationally and internationally for its excellence as a specialist creative centre for higher education. It is based in iconic 1970s buildings located in the centre of the city overlooking Queens Gardens.

Exhibiting in the Brodrick Gallery  is free and exhibitions to date have ranged from student degree work – in-progress as well as the annual Degree Show – to showcasing artists of national and international repute. The Brodrick Gallery enormously enriches the cultural life of our School’s staff and students – an experience which we are delighted to be able to share with the wider community. With a full range of new technology at hand as well as technical and creative expertise the Gallery is highly flexible, allowing both traditional hanging and digital viewing and encouraging innovative curation.
